Meet the creative force behind Minky Girl, Jean Marie, a seasoned artisan with a lifelong passion for crafting warmth and memories. From her early days sewing quilts as a child, she has been immersed in the world of textiles. Her journey began at the age of 10, side by side with her mom, stitching fabric and creating her own clothes. Now, the tradition continues as she sews with her granddaughters. Her husband Mike also assists with craft shows, controlling inventory, & assisting in cutting fabric. Inspired by her mother’s love for quilting, Minky Girl embarked on a journey into the world of quilting and stitching, honing her skills with each carefully crafted piece. The love for textiles grew, leading her to discover a unique fabric that sparked a creative revelation – handmade minky blankets for her beloved grandchildren. Today, Minky Girl continues to bring her passion to craft shows, showcasing her handmade Minky blankets and embroidered towels.
